Perched on a hillside just above Jinguashi is the charming Cyuanji Temple. This was built in 1896 and features a huge gold and bronze statue of Guan Gong that weighs more than 25 tons and is one of the largest statues of the deity in the world. The temple is still very active and has some exquisite wall carvings inside.
