Qustion & Answer |
Q1: Are the participants of two mentors and four students the requirement for IESO 2009?
|
Ans: A full-fledged team should consist of two mentors and four students fully covered by registration fee from arrival to departure, except airfares. However, we realize that some developing countries will have difficulty in getting funds for all the participants' airfares. Therefore, a minimum of one mentor and two students are also acceptable. If you can find enough funds for the full-fledged team, that will be more than excellent!

|
Q2: Which countries are qualified for airfare reimbursement and registration fee waiver?
|
Ans: We might be able to subsidize one airfare of one mentor and waive the registration fee for the developing countries, depending upon funds available and the numbers of requests for airfare and registration fee waiver.

Q3: About the IESO 2009 Pre-conference, will there be
any advantages or disadvantages between participants and non-participants,
since there will be a trip to possible field sites of IESO2009?
|
Ans: The Pre-conference is the tradition of IESO since the first one held in
Korea. The objectives of this Pre-conference are three-fold as the
following:
- IESO progress report by the host country
- General discussions on the IESO administrative matters
- 'Possible' field sitesvisit.
There are absolutely no advantages or disadvantages between conference participants and non-participants. Therefore, no test items related matters will be ever revealed or discussed during the conference. We will also post conference-related videos and photos on our website after the conference, so all the other non-participating countries will access to the conference.
