Dear Sir/Madam:
The 3rd International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO 2009) will be held during September 14-22, 2009 at the National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei, Taiwan. On behalf of the IESO 2009 Local Organizing Committee, I would like to invite your country’s participation to this most auspicious event.
According to the statutes of IESO, each participating country may send a national delegation consisting of four high school students with two mentors. All students should not exceed 18 years of age by July 1st in the entering year of the Olympiad. University or college students will not be eligible for the participation of the IESO 2009. Observers and guests accompanying the delegations are sincerely welcomed.
